Golf Lighting Standards
Teeing Ground
Install lighting on the left and right sides of the teeing ground, or at the rear, approximately 2 meters from the edge. When installing lighting on the sides, consider that players may be left- or right-handed and ensure supplementary lighting is placed symmetrically to prevent shadows from obstructing the players.
Fairway
To ensure clear visibility of the ball along the entire fairway, ensure wide-ranging coverage across the area. Ensure illumination of shadowy spots caused by obstructions or topography, aiming the lighting to track the ball’s flight and trajectory as it heads toward the fairway.
Fairway
As players approach the green, position lights to prevent direct glare and minimize reflection glare from the ground. Choose locations carefully to prevent glare from ground reflections. Arrange lighting to eliminate shadows for both left- and right-handed players, and maintain the highest possible uniformity in luminance.
